Privacy Policy
1. Information we collect
When you create a Konekta account, we collect your name, username, phone number, email address, and location. If you add a profile photo, workspace gallery photos, or a bio, we store those too. When you create a listing, send a message, make a booking, leave a review, or top up your wallet, we store that activity so the app can function.
2. How we use your information
Your information is used to operate your account, show your listings and messages to the right people, calculate your Trust Score, connect you with nearby services, and send you notifications about activity relevant to you (bookings, messages, workspace status, reviews).
3. What other users can see
Your name, username, profile photo, bio, location, Trust Score, and public listings are visible to other Konekta users. Your phone number and email are never shown publicly — they are only used for account access and, where you choose, for direct contact on a booking.
4. Where your data lives
Konekta data is stored with Supabase, using row-level security so that only you (and, where relevant, the other side of a conversation or booking) can read your private data. Photos are stored in access-controlled storage buckets.
5. Your choices
You can update or remove your name, photo, bio, and location at any time from Edit Profile. You can report content or accounts that concern you from a listing or from Settings → Report a Problem. Questions: konekta2026@gmail.com.
6. Delete your Konekta account
To delete your Konekta account and associated data:
1. Open the Konekta app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings (Customer) or Profile, then Delete account.
3. Type DELETE and confirm.
You can also email konekta2026@gmail.com from the same address on the account and ask us to delete it. We process email requests within 30 days.
What we delete: your profile, workspaces, listings, photos, chats, bookings, reviews, Trust Score, followers, and wallet history on Konekta.
What we may keep for a limited time: records we must keep for fraud, disputes, or law (for example a payment reference). We do not keep your account for marketing after deletion. Deletion cannot be undone.
7. Location data
If you grant location permission, Konekta uses your device GPS only to detect your current area for nearby listings and to prefill your location field — it is not tracked continuously or shared with other users beyond the general area you choose to display.
8. Payments
Wallet top-ups may be processed via Monime (Orange Money / AfriMoney) or confirmed manually for bank/cash paths. We store payment intents and wallet ledger entries needed to operate escrow and payouts. We do not store full bank card numbers.
